Madame Laveau

Madame Laveau

This is a recipe from the beautiful gem “The Nomad Cocktail Book”. We immediately fell for this cocktail seeing there was Strega in it. Strega is an Italian herbal liqueur which adds a load of flavour to any cocktail it's used in. The Madame Laveau cocktail lets the Strega shine through, while carefully letting its taste mix with other potent ingredients such as aquavit and rum. The result is a gorgeous recipe, elegantly balanced and packed with intricate flavors. Our friend Elin over at Travel

Cromulent

Cromulent

CROMULENT Today's original cocktail borrows both its proportions and its composition from one of our favourite cocktails, The Last Word. The Cromulent ends up much more yellow compared to the brilliant original though. And this is because we use both yellow Chartreuse, Strega and lemon juice. And substituting the gin in this cocktail is dry vermouth. It brings the same bitterness as gin but with lower ABV. Also worth mentioning is that yellow Chartreuse is less alcohol strong compared to green

Pushing Daisy

Pushing Daisy

The Pushing Daisy cocktail by Mattias Skoog has such a great meaning to us. It was one of the first cocktails we tried at renowned bar Tjoget in our home town Stockholm. And the the first time we ever tried it was on my birthday back in May, and after that we've ordered it several times. So discovering the recipe for this, which we thought was like the world's biggest secret was almost a life changer. It turns out our buddy Anders visited Tjoget on a trip to Sweden and somehow miraculously mana

Le Bateleur

Le Bateleur

“Le Bateleur” - we just love the name of this Death & Co original by Alex Day. It's a true autumn cocktail with all those dark spirits in the same recipe. The gin obviously leads the way, but it is nicely accompanied along that way by Punt E Mes, Strega and Cynar. A quite Italian cocktail in the end, despite the french name. This is a perfect slow sipper cocktail, high on ABV. It's also a 3,5 oz recipe so you're in for a long lasting indulgence. If you garnish with an orange twist like we did y

Gargoyle & Spire

Gargoyle & Spire

Yes, we finally own a bottle of Italian Strega! We've tried it in cocktails at different bars, but have so far not made anything with it ourselves. But with a secured bottle in our home bar it was time to make a Gargoyle & Spire cocktail. The Strega has a beautiful yellow colour. Flavour wise its not too far from yellow Chartreuse, but at the same time different. In this drink it's combined with gin and sparkling wine, but only a small amount of simple syrup. This makes it a slightly bitter coc
