DAVY JONES’S LOCKER

DAVY JONES’S LOCKER

This drink mixes rum and Fernet-Branca in an unexpected way, and it works fantastically well. The bitter Fernet and the somehow sweet rum marries, and is well supported by the sour/bitter grapefruit juice. Cinnamon syrup is super easy to make yourself. We pour simple syrup into a glass bottle and add a cinnamon stick. Then we just let it sit in the fridge for a week or so before we use it. Davy Jones's Locker Recipe by Brad Farran Ingredients: 2 oz gold rum 1 oz grapefruit juice 0,5 oz c

This is an intriguing mix of three powerful flavors; akvavit, coffee and Aperol. It is nice how well they work together in the same glass. Picon Punch

Picon Punch

This is a simple but delicious drink, made with french Amer Picon which can be hard to find in some parts of the world. But if you ever get the chance to buy a bottle, do it! The brandy float is a nice touch. It takes up the ABV a bit, and it also creates a flavour layer which is nice to sip the drink through. Picon Punch Recipe Ingredients: 1 teaspoon grenadine 2,5 oz Amer Picon 1 oz brandy Club Soda Mixing: In an ice-filled collins glass, add grenadine and Amer Picon. Top up with c

Lotta

In Södra Sandby, a village in southern Sweden, Skånska Spritfabriken [https://spritfabriken.com/] are producing a line of very interesting gins. And the newest addition is a coffee gin, meaning a gin with a sublime taste of coffee. The possibilities to use this in cocktails are endless, but for our first attempt we created a dessert cocktail with chocolate and orgeat supporting the coffee gin. Turns out the velvety orgeat kind of hugs the coffee gin, and a smooth and silky cocktail is crea

VERMUT O’CLOCK

VERMUT O’CLOCK

Low on ABV, this is a very sippable long-drink made with both sweet and dry vermouth. We like how refreshing it is, and how well vermouth is used as the main ingredient. Vermut O'Clock Recipe from “Be your own Bartender” Ingredients: 1,5 oz sweet vermouth 1 oz orange juice 0,25 oz dry vermouth 0,25 oz simple syrup 2 oz club soda Mixing: Combine all ingredients in a highball glass filled with ice. Garnish with some fresh mint sprigs. Glassware: highball

THAT’LL TAKE THE EDGE OFF

THAT’LL TAKE THE EDGE OFF

A drink to drink by the fire place. This one is boozy, and it's a play on the much appreciated classic Sazerac cocktail. We're using Naked Grouse scotch, which works fantastic in high ABV-drinks like this one, where the whisky is in focus. The absinth rinse is brilliant, just a tiny amount goes a very long way and you might actually wanna use less than the suggested 0,25 oz if your'e not used to absinth. That'll take the edge off Recipe from “Be your own Bartender” Ingredients: 2 oz sco

MY ME MOMENT

MY ME MOMENT

MeMento [http://www.mementodrink.com/] is a new, non-alcoholic product that comes in one of the most unique bottles we've seen. Half glass/half wood, the bottle is sure to make an impression even before its content is poured. But not only is the MeMento alcohol-free, it is also free from sugar, and gluten and of course it's vegan. So mixing a large drink with this, as we did, comes with no guilt at all. We thought mixing it with a lot of lime, simple syrup and a big splash of club soda cre

SUN STEALER

SUN STEALER

We think the Japanese Roku gin is so elegant, and this is the perfect cocktail to showcase it in. Because there is a lot of gin in it, making this a martini-styled drink. But there is sweet vermouth instead of dry, plus there are two surprising additions of sweet chocolate liqueur and super bitter Fernet-Branca. It all comes together beautifully and forms an interesting and intriguing drink that we are likely to make gain. Sun Stealer Recipe by Henry Prendergast Ingredients: 2 oz gin
