Comanche Club

Described as a 4 parts Negroni and 3 parts The Last Word cocktail we could do nothing but to capitulate and instantly shake up this drink. It basically mixes our two all time favorite cocktails into one.⁣ ⁣ What's interesting is how the rather small amount of green Chartreuse shines through and still somehow defines the drink - it even manages to mellow the Campari quite a bit. ⁣ ⁣ The Carpano Antica Formula is definitely our go to bottle when recipes call for sweet vermouth. It's of high qual

We're going low ABV again with this cider-based cocktail. Cider is a good way of lowering the alcohol by volume while still keeping the drink festive and sparkling.⁣ ⁣ The cranberry cordial is easy to make. Boil down about two thirds of some store-bought cranberry juice. Add about the same amount of sugar and let it melt on low heat. This way you're creating almost a syrup, that tastes of cranberries.⁣ ⁣ The nice bouquet of flowers we got from our friends who was visiting us for dinner and dri

This is a cocktail without a name, created by Rodrigo over at @rabo.de.galo [https://www.instagram.com/rabo.de.galo/] and it is an herbal riff of a classic Pisco Sour. That yellow Chartreuse makes the cocktail not only yellow, but also earthy and boozy. It works very well with the more neutral pisco, as well with the sour lemon. Surprisingly the sweet vermouth doesn't change the colour of the drink too much, it stays pretty yellow. Thank you Rodrigo for your inspirational feed. It was an hon

In this Negroni riff we thought it was very fitting to use the Spiced Negroni Gin from @fourpillarsgin [https://www.instagram.com/fourpillarsgin/] specifically made to stand up against the flavorful Campari. It’s a great gin, also on its own. But it certainly shines in cocktails like this one. The bottle of gin we brought ourselves all the way to Sweden from Australia. @sandra_l_weissel [https://www.instagram.com/sandra_l_weissel/] took us by car from Melbourne to Four Pillars Distillery. We enjoy low ABV drinks that are still very much interesting, elegant and tasty. Bamboo is one of these cocktails, made with sherry and vermouth. It creates a dry but uplifting drink that you will definitely enjoy sipping on. We served this cocktail in new glassware. Not really coupes, rather tiny rocks glasses. We thought they were quite stunning when we found them in a charity shop. Bamboo Recipe adapted by Difford's Guide Ingredients: 1,5 oz fino sherry 1 oz sweet vermouth 0,75 oz dry verm

As autumn is here, and winter is soon around the corner - starting to make these dark brown cocktails makes a lot of sense. We like sipping on this kind of drinks, accompanied by some lit candles when it’s completely dark outside. Now that doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun with the drink. A crazy straw, tilted 90 degrees makes the perfect garnish for this funny named drink. The taste of the cocktail is heavily defined by the Smith & Cross rum. But as this is one our favorite rums we don’t m

We continue to try out recipes from Ted Haigh's excellent book “Vintage Spirits and Forgotten Cocktails [https://mattias.adbibere.se/product/vintage-spirits-and-forgotten-cocktails-from-the-alamagoozlum-to-the-zombie-100-rediscovered-recipes-and-the-stories-behind-them/] “. Today we are making The Derby. According to the book, cocktails and horse racing have always gone hand in hand. And this is one of the cocktails that's been around for a long time, although there are different variations of
