Beer Grylls

Beer Grylls

Beer cocktails we do not shake that often, but when seeing this recipe in Oskar Kinberg’s Cocktail Cookbook all we could do was to go and buy some wheat beer. Because mixing beer with rum, banana and honey sounded too interesting not to try. And we think the result was delicious! We had this drink together with a hamburger, as it seemed like a good drink to pair with food. Be careful though when pouring the beer into the glass with the other ingredients. A fantastic foam formed fast! Beer Gry

As autumn is here, and winter is soon around the corner - starting to make these dark brown cocktails makes a lot of sense. We like sipping on this kind of drinks, accompanied by some lit candles when it’s completely dark outside. Now that doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun with the drink. A crazy straw, tilted 90 degrees makes the perfect garnish for this funny named drink. The taste of the cocktail is heavily defined by the Smith & Cross rum. But as this is one our favorite rums we don’t m

Get Off The Stand

Get Off The Stand

A red beauty this highball becomes, thanks to the Byrrh. It's a refreshing cocktail, with slight tiki vibes from all that rum. We made this drink on one of the last really hot summer days of the season. From now on our feed is likely to become a bit more boozy, brown and lowball. Welcome autumn! Get Off The Stand Recipe Ingredients: 2 oz white rum 1,5 oz Byrrh 0,33 oz lemon juice 3 dashes chocolate bitters club soda to top up with Mixing: Shake all ingredients except the club soda with i

Jai Alai Special

Jai Alai Special

It was the two limes that caught our interest in this recipe. It's kind of an imprecise measurement, but it's anyway a lot of lime! So it's no surprise that this drink turns out quite sour, especially when also the orange juice is added. That big amount of chocolate liqueur however, counters the acidity pretty well. The combination of orange and chocolate is a classic, and it works brilliantly in this peculiar cocktail Jai Alai Special Recipe Ingredients: 1,5 oz light rum 1 oz crème de cacao

Madame Laveau

Madame Laveau

This is a recipe from the beautiful gem “The Nomad Cocktail Book”. We immediately fell for this cocktail seeing there was Strega in it. Strega is an Italian herbal liqueur which adds a load of flavour to any cocktail it's used in. The Madame Laveau cocktail lets the Strega shine through, while carefully letting its taste mix with other potent ingredients such as aquavit and rum. The result is a gorgeous recipe, elegantly balanced and packed with intricate flavors. Our friend Elin over at Travel

A tropical treat made extra delightful thanks to the pineapple rum and the amaro. The crushed ice makes this drink extra refreshing, and the smoky scotch on top is so cool! Roebling Rumrise

Roebling Rumrise

Lambrusco is an intensly blue grape, that mostly grows in Italy. With it an equally intensly blue, slightly sparkling, wine is created. And with this pretty cool wine we made a Roebling Rumrise cocktail. The recipe is by Rob Krueger, and as it's quite low on alcohol it is perfect to sip in large gulps during hotter days. We were throwing a small cocktail party recently and this was the opening cocktail. Apart from being delicious it is a great conversation piece, as that blue colour is quite m

Vieux Ananas

Vieux Ananas

Seeing pineapple rum in any cocktail recipe always gets us interested. The tropical tasting Vieux Ananas by Ezra Star is certainly no exception. This drink is so good! Lots of pineapple flavour, sweetness and booze at the same time. It's a stiff cocktail, but still so easy to drink. The dehydrated slices of pineapple are probably more meant to be enjoyed in your breakfast müsli or as a snack. But we are quite obsessed with using them as cocktail garnishing instead. (Yes, you have seen them bef
