Rubicon

Rubicon

Time for a pretty fancy cocktail, the Rubicon, from bar Canon in Seattle. This is a Last Word with extra everything, complete with open flames and fresh herbs. This drink is very heavy on gin, so choose this wisely. Go with your favorite. For us this was the perfect opportunity to break our bottle of Conker Spirit's [https://www.conkerspirit.co.uk/] gin. It's a delicious product from Dorset in the UK, and it was great in this herbal cocktail. As this recipe involves an open flame a warning sho

Warehouse C

Warehouse C

When Jillian Vose made a surprise visit to bar 20hundra5 in Stockholm last year, at the very same evening we were guest judges in a cocktail competition there, we were quite excited! Having previously featured several of Jillian's cocktails in our feed we've been holding on to this one, the Warehouse C, for a while. Because it couldn't be more fitting to post this one than today, on Swedish Midsummer Eve, the strawberry fiesta day of the year. In the Warehouse C there might be only one single

Sanlucar Sling

Sanlucar Sling

The Sanlucar Sling by Sahil Mehta [https://www.instagram.com/sahildmehta/]is another drink perfect for the warmer days. A highball cocktail with a lot of sherry, and then some cherry and walnut to make things really interesting and tasty. This was the perfect cocktail to try out one of our latest bottle buys in, Don Ciccio & Figli's Nocino Walnut Liqueur. [https://donciccioefigli.com/new-nocino] We were recently on holiday in Washington DC, which happens to be where this delicious liqueur is p

Crooked Kilt

Crooked Kilt

Vacay! The summer vacation is always exciting. Usually a time to travel, explore new cities, and of course new bars and cocktails. In today's post we have tried to transfer these vacation vibes into a cocktail. We chose to make a Crooked Kilt by Leo Robitschek because it's based around pineapple juice. And nothing says vacation, as much as pineapple now does it? Here we are using Naked Grouse [https://nakedgrouse.com/] blended scotch, which is just perfect in cocktails like this. Not overpowe

Aperol Spritz

Aperol Spritz

The Aperol Spritz is one of those uncomplicated cocktails, that is still incredibly delicious. Not a lot of measuring is really required, although there is an official recipe at the back of the Aperol bottle. This has to be the official drink of summer. Everyone seem to enjoy it, and it's very understandable. The sparkling wine paired with bittersweet Aperol, slightly diluted with a splash of bubbly water certainly is a quencher! We enjoyed these drinks in the company of two friends from Gothe

Vatican City

Vatican City

We had to make one more from Drew Lazor's [https://www.instagram.com/drewlazor/] new book “Session Cocktails [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0399580867/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0399580867&linkCode=as2&tag=cocktaildetou-20&linkId=3f8974c0d43bf0239781289c3027d6cc] “. These low-alcohol recipes are so fitting for the super summer we are experiencing in Sweden. This is the Vatican City by Mikki Kristola. We love how French gentian spirit Suze is the star of this

Bartender's Bingo

Bartender's Bingo

A lot of ingredients, and a lot of originators. This is the Bartender's Bingo by Luke O'Neil, Evan Kenney and Sam Gabrielli. According to the legend this cocktail started out as a parody. But the result turned out so delicious, the cocktail ended up on the menu of a bar in Somerville, USA. So yes, you need to bring out a lot of bottles, squeeze both lemon and lime, produce a lot of bitter dashes and then put all bottles back again. Is it worth it you may ask yourself… …we say yes! This drink

Adriatique

Adriatique

The Adriatique by Jackson Cannon is a really colourful cocktail. It's primarily based around amaro Montenegro, which is one of our favourite amari. It's herbal, sweet and very flavorful, and it's just perfect to use in cocktails. As the weather is hotter than ever in Stockholm we were able to enjoy (and photograph) this drink outdoors. There's something extra enjoyable in being able to sip these Italian products outside. We just imagine this is how they are consumed in Italy all year around. A
