Flor de Caña 12 years rum is Fair Trade certified, which makes this phenomenal rum even extra enjoyable. Also we absolutely love its toffee and vanilla notes, making it perfect to mix with other dessert associated ingredients.

In this original cocktail, we mixed the Flor de Caña rum with banana and walnut liqueurs, tying it all together with dry fino sherry to balance the sweetness. The result is certainly a coupe full of loveliness, defined by the rum but with rather intense notes also of banana and walnut.

Flor de Caña rum is produced close to a volcano in Nicaragua, so we wanted to photograph this cocktail in a volcanic setting. We just bought some coasters made of lava from a volcano. Each coaster is of course unique and full of characteristics. It's very much like the rum itself, beautiful in its own unique way.

Why clear ice makes cocktails more beautiful.

The Importance of Ice
