It is not that often that we mix red wine and coca cola. It might seem like a very odd combination but we can almost guarantee that the first sip will convince you. This quencher is so delicious, and the odd ingredients pair surprisingly fantastic together.⁠

⁠The sweet coca cola, in this case Fritz Kola, somehow mellows the harshness of the red wine, resulting in a silk smooth cocktail that taste 50 percent childhood and 50 percent sophistication.⁠

We simply love how recipes you might frown upon at first can turn you completely over and make you kind of fall in love with them.⁠

Amaro Kalimotxo

Recipe by Christian Siglin

Ingredients:

3 oz red wine⁠
0,5 oz Ramazzotti amaro⁠
3-4 dashes Peychaud’s bitters⁠
a good quality Coca Cola to top up with

Mixing:

Add all ingredients but the last one to a highball glass filled with ice. Stir a bit before topping up with cola and give it a second gentle stir.
