Floppy Disk

Floppy Disk

One point fortyfour megabytes… …that's how much data a 3½-inch floppy disk could hold. Overwhelming when it was introduced in the mid nineteeneighties - so small, but still so much storage possibilities. Today it would be considered low storage, so it's very fitting that Jenner Cormier [https://www.instagram.com/jennercormier/] made her Floppy Disk cocktail a low ABV one. This is an intriguing cocktail, despite the lack of high alcohol by volume. The slightly bitter grapefruit juice, enhanced

Sweet Talking Son

Sweet Talking Son

The Sweet Talking Son cocktail by Caitlin Ryan was crafted to highlight an American brandy brand not available in our part of the world. But we thought using Cognac would also work. And it did! This is such a cool cocktail where the brandy is is combined with mint (that's not muddled) and maple syrup. It's an aromatic and unique combo that is actually a bit hard to describe. But trust us when we say it's good. We also like the deep and rich colour the drink gets, thanks to the brandy. Served o

Sweep The Leg

Sweep The Leg

It was probably the long list of ingredients that made us interested in Sweep The Leg, by Brad Farran. Yes, a lot of measuring to be made here, but if you persist you are rewarded with a tiki like cocktail bursting with flavors. The whisky plays the leading role, but the supporting characters also deserve rewards. Orgeat has always been a favorite sweetener to us, and we still have a home made batch in our cocktail fridge. Sherry is what we are using more and more, loving its dry and low alcoho

Humuhumunukunukuapua'a

Humuhumunukunukuapua'a

Humuhumunukunukuapua'a is the tongue twisting name of this gorgeous cocktail by Marcovaldo Dionysos. It gets its pale pink colour thanks to the mix of orgeat and Peychaud's. Always fun to use orgeat we think. It creates this matt finish that's quite funky on a cocktail. As the cocktail is from the Smuggler's Cove book, it should of course be defined as a tiki cocktail. Hence we enhanced this fact by garnishing with a chimpanzee climbing a palmtree. It's a really tasty cocktail, sweet and sour

Coupe De Ville

Coupe De Ville

We believe this is the first time we're featuring a beer cocktail in our feed. So why do we do it now? Well, to be honest it's because we found this vintage beer glass and instantly recognized its beauty. So after acquiring the glass from the charity shop we found it in, next step was to find a suitable beer cocktail to pour into the glass. Thankfully we found the recipe for the Coupe De Ville online, and decided this was the perfect fit for our new glassware. Of course this drink tastes beer,

Street & Flynn Special

Street & Flynn Special

The Street & Flynn Special cocktail by Joseph Schwartz is a rather spicy rum highball drink. The spice is coming from that pimento dram which we think is such a cool cocktail ingredient. A nice thing with these highball cocktails that are topped up with Club Soda is that you can decide yourself how high or low you want the ABV to be. It's easy to make this really low ABV by using a lot of sparkling water. It will dilute the cocktail, but as the allspice liqueur and the ginger syrup are so aroma

The Last Laph

The Last Laph

The Last Laph - the name of this cocktail has a few different meanings. First it's a play on Laphroaig, the brand of smoky scotch originally used in this drink. Secondly it's a nod towards classic cocktail The Last Word also being a four ingredients equal part recipe. Third, whoever drinks this cocktail might get the last laugh. It's a surprising cocktail with lots of memorable flavors. The recipe is by Justin Lavenue [https://www.instagram.com/justbitters/]. Mixing scotch and ginger make y

Meridian Daiquiri

Meridian Daiquiri

The Meridian Daiquiri by Joaquin Simó we wanted to shoot in a vintage 1970s way. We had found some brown glassware recently in a charity shop, and we had some seventies wrapping paper available. We think it came together pretty nicely, the seventies is certainly an interesting era when it comes to both recipes and patterns. What's extra interesting in this cocktail is the combination of aquavit and pineapple juice. You're tempted to think these two components would not work together, but they d
