INEFFABLE

We are so tremendously excited and proud to present one Cocktail Detour original recipe each day this whole week. For the last few months we have secretly been experimenting, tasting, trying and then started all over again. The final seven cocktails that made it into this original week all passed the taste test as well as the look test.

And we kick off with this intensely orange cocktail, made with carrot juice. It's the first time we use carrot juice in cocktails, and we are really happy with the result. We quickly decided we wanted to use honey syrup as sweetener but struggled a bit more on what liquor to use. While browsing through the cabinets our eyes fell on the equally orange saffron gin. From there the whole recipe fell into place and we finally just added lemon juice to freshen things up a bit.

We have named all the cocktails of this week after unusual but beautiful English words. The meaning of each word is somehow related to our own impression of each cocktail.

We hope you enjoy this “event”. If you ever try one of the cocktails we would be so excited to get to know.

Clear ice has become a hallmark of professional mixology, elevating drinks in both aesthetics and functionality. Unlike cloudy ice, clear ice is free of impurities and air bubbles, offering a pristine, glass-like appearance that enhances the visual appeal of any cocktail. But it's not just about looks. Clear ice is denser and melts more slowly, keeping your drink colder for longer without diluting its

A Spirit(ual) Journey Throughout the North of Sweden

It has always been on our wishlist, to tour the more northern parts of Sweden. Our interest in spirits and cocktails have taken us to many places in Sweden and abroad, but until now not really more north than Uppsala. Well this just changed, as we got the chance to pay a visit to gin producer Norrbottens Destilleri. And this was just the start of five fantastic days, driving between so many beautiful spots. Norrbottens Destilleri Töre, close to Kalix, is where Norrbottens Destilleri produce the
