Dead Parrot Colada

It was the name, and the colour. Both intrigued us enough to make this intense blue cocktail. While it will likely not actually kill a parrot, it would certainly make it dizzy. With both gin and akvavit in the mix, this is a potent one.⁠

It's kind of a Pina Colada riff, where lighter coconut water replaces heavy coconut cream. It's definitely to our liking, and the lightness combined with its freezing features make this a most enjoyable exotic drink.

Ingredients:

⁠1,5 oz gin⁠
0,5 oz akvavit⁠
0,5 oz blue curaçao⁠
0,25 oz maraschino liqueur⁠
0,5 oz fresh lemon juice⁠
1,5 oz coconut water⁠
0,5 oz simple syrup⁠

Mixing:

Blend all ingredients with crushed ice and serve in a highball glass with a thick straw.⁠
